"O.K. I have a situation and would like help. I had my quarterly follow up Cistoscopy last friday and things did not go as well as the prior ones. My Doctor detected some growth and concentration of blood vessels that does not look good. He took some samples and sent them to the lab for analysis. Results are due in a couple of days. The thing is, in prior conversations with my Doctor, he said that if the cancer returned then the prescribed treatment is removal of the bladder. I still don't know if this will be the case, but as far as I could, I have tried to make my peace with having my bladder removed if the cancer ever came back. Obviously I am very nervous and thinking about the consecuences, also grateful that we detected it fairly early and chances of it spreading are very low. However, I will probably need to make a decision soon as to what type of bladder removar/reconstruction do I want to have. As far as I know there are three types: A tube from the kidneys to an external bag, an inner "bladder" made with parts of my inestine, conected to a tube and and inner "bladder" build with part of my intestine, but re-connected as my natural bladder is. ¿does anyone has had to face this decision? ¿what are the pros/cons of each? ¿what is the experience with the different types?Thank You very much!"
