Recurring Bladder Cancer

To make a long story short, my cancer started in 2015 with my kidney. I had it removed plus, now have bladder cancer. Had 3 TURBTs. After the second one, I had chemo for 6 weeks last year, now had another & wait 4 weeks for the next step.

Looking for support

I would like to join to talk to others going through the same. Sometimes it gets pretty lonely when there is nobody to talk to.

 I am waiting now for BCG & maintenance therapy, so will see how that goes

 Diane, mine started with kidney cancer then moved to my bladder. Never been a smoker, but was exposed to secondhand smoke. This support group has been good for me, made me realize I'm not the only one going through this ordeal.

Remember that old adage "Cheer up. Things could be worse? So I cheered up and, sure enough they got worse." I try to find something to laugh about in everything. If the subject is politics, it's easy. Had my bladder removed after 17 weeks of chemo, fought the "leaky" battle with bags for almost two years now. Wife had a mental relapse over the whole situation. Won fight with cable company. Gained back ten of 25 lbs. I lost. Tried to learn to play banjo. Started getting pedicures. Grew hair as long as Woodstock. Finally had it cut. Grew a beard. Shaved it off. Have read at least five books per week. Still perform standup (the current plague has interrupted that). Make the best meat loaf anywhere. In other words, I ain't dead yet. Happy to talk to anyone who wants to know the good, the bad and the ugly.

"Won fight with cable company" had me laughing. Just by reading your comment I can tell you truly have a zest for life.
