Phil Norris

Phil is a linguistics major, writer, rock climbing enthusiast and the son of a bladder cancer survivor. He moved from the UK to the Netherlands to study for a master's at the University of Amsterdam. While studying, there was definitely high and low points. In Amsterdam, he met his husband, and they now live happily together with their furry, 4-footed doggie daughter, Dolly. While living away from his family, he also received the news of his mother's diagnosis.

Phil advocates for bladder patients after witnessing his mother's journey from stage-3 bladder cancer diagnosis to a cancer survivor. Watching his mother's cancer journey while studying in another country was a challenging experience. But what came out of it was a new understanding and relationship with his family and cancer.
