Musings of an Old Man With Bladder Cancer
Last updated: July 2021
Lying in bed this morning, it dawned on me that my penis has taken on important tasks once again. As I am in my 80's my penis has seen its value limited to the passing of urine, not a bad thing, but nothing in which to take great pride.
The discovery that I have bladder cancer has given the little fella' a second chance to take center stage....he now serves as the critical corridor, providing access to my bladder for probing scopes, scraping tools, cauterizing instruments and chemotherapy instillations.
One would think he would raise his head and puff up with pride....much like days past. But, his humility is all-encompassing. He continues to hang his head....refusing to brag about his latest achievements.
Oh well............such is life:)!
