BCG treatment abroad

Hello, I have been diagnosed with urothelial carcinoma T1.
After 2 surgeries and 3 doses of Pembrolizumab with 6 doses of BCG I was told that in the US they have no more BCG vaccine available. Meanwhile, I need a maintenance BCG treatment.
Currently I am being treated at Memorial Sloan Kettering hospital in New York/UAS.
I was wondering if anyone has traveled outside of the US to get the BCG treatment and what are the recommendations

  1. Hi I am sending over this article with comments attached, I hope this is helpful for you: https://bladdercancer.net/news/bcg-shortage-in-america. I would definitely encourage you to speak to your doctor about this and see what they recommend. Sending you so much strength. Jill (Team Member)

    1. Hello Jill and thank you for reaching out. I found on my own, the hospital never bothered to explain the reasons. At this time I'm feeling betrayed, left alone, manipulated, used and depressed. Here's why I am seeking possibilities to get the treatment abroad. My hospital refuses to give me any sort of prescription, however, I know for a fact that the vaccine is available in Europe, although possibly a different version.
I have received couple of offers to consider Turkey, however, I know nothing about options there and I cannot find any forums or discussions online.
      Please advise if you can.
      Thanx

      1. I can understand why you would feel so discouraged. Unfortunately, we are not medical professionals so we can not advise on treatment. Please keep us posted on how you are doing. Jill (Team Member)

    2. I will, thank you!
