New patient

I had coke colored urine. My primary sent me to a urologist. He ordered a CT which showed an 8mm density. I then had a cystology and was told I had a neoplasam. In 5 weeks I will have a cytology with anesthesia where they will "scrape out" the tumor. I was wondering if it seems a long time to wait for the surgery

  1. Hi. I am not medically trained and waiting times will vary country to country and state to state in the USA. In Scotland would generally be a bit quicker but the pandemic has post pandemic backlog has delayed a number of procedures. Where are you based? Laura, Moderator, BladderCancer.net

    1. @CommunityMember394 - It may be that they are not able to get you in any sooner or possibly do not think that the time period is too long. I would suggesting asking the doctor why the TURBT is scheduled so far out. Another thought is to call the office and have them put you on a list should there be a cancellation. I frequently do this myself and always recommend it to anyone who has concerns similar to yours. My best Linda Urbanski ( Moderator, Bladdercancer.net team member)
