Was t1 once a CIS or TIS

Do all t1 start off as a Cis?

And for a Cis to get to t4 does it always become t1 t2 t3 first. I'm so sorry it's probably a silly question. But I'm trying to learn Xxx thank you guys.

  1. @Sally k - I am not a medical professional but will speak from my personal experience. I was diagnosed with T1hg initially. After 2 TURBTS I moved forward to RC and my results showed that I had CIS in my bladder before its removal. I certainly cannot say if a all move through from stage 1 to 2 to 3 to 4. I have no idea if I had CIS before T1. Your doctor would be the best source of this information. I do know that this cancer can move very quickly so it is possible that it may run through all the stages but at a slower or faster pace in different people. My best to you. 1. that's an excellent question. I am also not a medical professional, just a nerdy caregiver who reads a lot in moments of stress. What I learned about bladder cancer is that it doesn't "move through stages" inasmuch as we use those stages to describe the bladder cancer doctors observe. Once we observe certain behaviors, markers, etc, we then describe it as a different stage in our understanding. Certain rare cancers can also act in ways that are far different from "lower grade" cancers. I think your question was awesome, and I hope this helps! 1. hi. I am not medically trained. I do know however that lots of things can affect staging and whr stage it is when it is discovered. In my case it was muscle invasive stage 4 cancer at diagnosis. I know it didn’t happen overnight but also no idea, neither did the doctors, how long I had it before diagnosis or indeed if it started and went through each stage. What is important is to get the right treatment for the stage you have. This article explains the staging and other diagnostic detail. Laura, Moderator, BladderCancer.net
