I Can’t Quite Believe I’m Writing This
On August 25, 2021, I had a radical cystectomy; since then I've had 2 clear scans.
Today I was put back on the cancer pathway. I have lumps in my tummy, and I have a lump that has grown on the outside of my tummy. As if that's not enough, I can hardly walk with chronic pain in my hip and leg, which my GP has now decided is related to the lumps in my tummy.
My consultant did tell me I was a high risk for cancer again, but you thank god for every day and try to push cancer to the back of your mind.
Here we go again. I'm waiting for a biopsy on the lump that has grown on the outside of my tummy and further investigations.
To say I'm devastated is an understatement. My head is in a spin.
This is my story.
