   <p>My husband 77, was diagnosed with Stage II aggressive bladder cancer. He had a TURBT and we chose to also go the treatment regimen of bladder restoration. I am a retired RN so we did a lot of research and conferred with our Urologist, Medical Oncologist &amp; Radiation Oncologist. DH has mild COPD, a previous mild, asymptomatic heart attack and has severe spinal stenosis ~ all of which factored in our decision. <br> We are fortunate to have a cancer center where we live. DH started on chemo- Gemzar 2000 mg. Day 1, 8,15; Cisplastin 136 mg Day 2 for 2 complete cycles. Then started daily radiation with weekly Gemzar infusion of 200mg for 7 weeks. Radiation now over and he will start up in a week with 2 more rotations of Gemzar 2000 mg (days 1-8-15) and 2 Cisplastin doses of 136 mg. He had a CT scan 7/14 that showed no cancer or evidence of where it was. He will be followed by his Urologist but we are extremely pleased with this decision. He had only fatigue as a side effect, no hair loss, no nausea, vomiting or diarrhea.</p>
