The Scariest Time of My Life

Christmas eve 2020. I went for a pee and it was red blood. I couldn’t tell my wife then as I had to come to terms with it. I knew about bladder cancer as one of my wife’s cousins passed from it a 4 years ago. Next morning Xmas day at 0900 I dialed 111 and the NHS went into full swing.

I saw an emergency GP in 2 hours. 3 weeks later I had a camera and 4 days after that a reception. Jump 19 months. I have just had a full bladder etc removal. Day 20 post opp. It is hard. I feel lost as well as all the discomfort. I will add as I progress or don’t. Good luck everyone.

This is my story.
