Bladder cancer

I just wondered what people’s symptoms were for bladder cancer please. I don’t have any blood. By struggle to know when I need to go for a wee and I have to press my bladder to feel it sometimes and then I go and feel as though I’m not emptying my bladder. I failed a bladder scan at hospital as asked if I needed a wee, I said no, I was holding 190ml and then after going I was still holding 120ml. It’s worse at night as I am out of bed seconds after going and it’s almost like having a water infection but I am completely clear of any infection.
Just wondered if anyone went through the same. I’ve been referred to urology but not until the middle of June.
I appreciate any feedback.
Kind regards,

  1. I didn’t above blood as a symptom, but it is a common symptom. I am glad you have a urology planned. Have you asked to be put down for any cancellations and advised you are anxious? You may find this a useful read. Laura, Moderator, BladderCancer.net

    1. I had a lot of pain when I urinated. Going every hour. I had urology with the tube looked very angry. I was not surprised. This took over 2years to get to the Urologist. Because of Damn COVID. There's nothing you can do until the Urologist has seen you. Phone Daily for cancellation.

      1. sorry to hear of your daily. Covid impacted so many people in so many ways. How are you today? Laura, Moderator, BladderCancer.net

      2. I hope that you are able to see a doctor very soon and have some relief. I am sorry that you do not have a facility where you can be seen immediately versus needing an appointment. Are you still staying well hydrated even though you are urinating so often? keep us updated and hoping you have some relief soon. Linda Urbanski (moderator, Bladdercancer.net team member)

    2. - I know that blood in the urine is a frequent symptom but I did not have that. I was diagnosed for 10 months with UTIs due to needing to urinate very frequently and I also believe due to my age. I was correctly diagnosed 11 months later when i went to the ER for the first time in my life with debilitating bladder spasms and urinating every 20 - 30 minutes but a very small amount. It was determined with testing a week later that I had a tumor at the bottom of my bladder and top of my urethra that was causing this. I hope that you are able to have some answers soon. Keep us updated. My best Linda Urbanski (moderator, Bladdercancer.net team member)

      1. Simac, mine was blood in my urine and a dull pain in my left flank. Pain was from as tumor that was blocking my kidney tube. Make sure you see the docs. I found mine early and avoided a lot of problems. DanFranke, moderator, bladdercancer.net.
