Camp Lejeune Drinking Water
I grew up the son of a US Marine and spent 1st through 4th grades drinking the water at Camp Lejeune NC in the early 1960s . . . I am a veteran also but the VA will only cover my out of pocket expenses for bladder cancer because I was a military dependent at the time of exposure not active duty at that time . . .
I'm so sorry to hear this. Let me first say thank you for your service. I am so sorry to hear that the VA won't cover your bladder cancer related expenses! Have things changed since you last shared?
I wonder if any others that may be ex military are facing the same issues.
- Now that does not make sense at all. Being in the same area as your parent clearly you were exposed to the same water. Hopefully that will change and your benefits will be greater.
