I had my first cysto today exactly six weeks after BCG induction therapy. There was perhaps one moment of minor discomfort. Initially, my doctor found healthy looking tissue but then saw some reddish velvety patches and some red dots, as she moved on, pointing out the difference to me between the two. Her conclusion: the red could be inflammation from the BCG or it could be problematic, so she wants to biopsy the questionable areas. I dread the thought of another turbt, but she says it will be fast as it won't involve scraping, and then another round of BCG is likely. I'm feeling mostly relieved, and want to believe my immune system is up to the task of fighting this formidable foe. Has anyone had a similar experience and if so, what were the longer term results? Is it okay to have three turbt procedures within six months time?
