Diagnosis

Hello. Had gross heamaturia and clots all one morning, gradually tailed off during the day and had one funny looking worm like thing since. Report on sample said no infection. GP has referred me on the two week pathway. Everything I read says that much blood and clots is very advanced bladder cancer. Can't eat, can't sleep and just want to curl up in bed. I'm so very scared

  1. @Puttypoo - I hope that you have answers soon and that you do not have to wait long to be seen by a urologist. In my humble opinion, this type of issue needs to be examined by a doctor who specializes in treatment of urinary issues and has more in depth knowledge than a general practitioner. Until you have more information it is common to be scared and anxious. I suggest that you keep pushing for information and soon. Keep us posted. 1. Thank you. I can't understand why I had such bad bleeding and clots now my urine is crystal clear, doesn't make sense to me

      1. it is possible for blood in urine to come and go whether it is cancer or something else. Hope you have the answers you need soon. Laura, Moderator, BladderCancer.net

      2. @Puttypoo - I am not a medical professional and would not even try to come up with a reason for you having bleeding and blood clots and then nothing. Did your original GP give you any indication as to what it may be ? I am going to suggest that you keep track of any bleeding etc to enable you to provide specifics on when it happened to your medical providers. I find that we tend to forget exactly when things occurred and for how long. Just a thought. Try not to dwell on this too much as hopefully you will be able to see a specialist soon. 2. you are doing all the right things. Seeing a doctor and getting referred. I know it hard but try not to second guess the outcome. Once you know what is going on, you will me be better placed to seek any specific information you need. Thinking of you. Laura, Moderator, BladderCancer.net

      1. I have urinated blood and clots for about a year now, had 2 TURBD procedures, borderline anemia, no pain, but clots on a single days added up to at least 3 golf-balls of mass. Am suspecting heavy metal contamination as the cause / catalyst. No Cancer history in family.

        1. CommunityMemberdcb7c5 - How recently did you have your most recent TURBT? Were you told a diagnosis as a year is a long time for any blood in the urine and I would assume that your doctor would want to find what is causing it and treatments if needed. I hope you have answers soon. My best Linda Urbanski (moderator, Bladdercancer.net team member)
