Need help if anyone has went through this

I started bleeding a month ago. I went to the hospital 2 times. The first time they saw inflammation in my kidney they thought I might have passed a kidney stone. The second time I went because I was so scared they did a ct both times and both came back normal. Still have blood in my urine but not bleeding like a period anymore. I haven't seen anyone on here say they haven't found anything in their ct. I'm scared I'm only 25 with 2 little boys that needed their mommy...

  1. Hi. Firstly, as hard as it is, please don’t assume the worst. I am not medically trained but I would ask your medical team to see a urologist to give more specific feedback and arrange a cystoscopy if needed. At least you can eliminate and remove your concerns as a minimum. Take care. Laura, Moderator, BladderCancer.net

    1. @FeliciaM - I think it is good that you have had some testing. What has your doctor said about your continued bleeding even if it is less than before? Blood in the urine a concern and should be investigated. I am not a medical professional but would find out if this is normal in any way or you should have a cystoscopy done for reassurance. Your little boys are the very reason why it is important to make sure it is not a concern. The earlier issues are caught, the better the treatments options and chances to get rid of the issues. Please keep us updated. My best to you and your family. Linda Urbanski (moderator, Bladdercancer.net team member)

      1. hello and welcome to the site. I would definitely echo Laura and Linda's sentiments. I am also not a medical professional, just a caregiver of this disease. I tend to agree that bleeding is not normal and needs to be investigated. Brava for going TWICE for help in finding a cause. Are you satisfied with the answers you were given? If not, please seek out a blue light cystoscopy with a urologist who has had experience with bladder cancer. I wish you nothing but the best and please do keep us in the loop. Hoping for peace in your mind and heart post haste, and blessings for you and your family. All the best, Charles (Moderator / BladderCancer.net)

        1. Hey FeliciaM, I am not a medical professional, just a patient. I can share my experience with you, keeping in mind, everyone is different. In August of 2022 I found blood in my urine and went right in to see my doctor. He ran a urine test to look for cancer and it came back positive. I received a referral and went in to see a urologist for a cystoscopy, and there is was, you could see it on the monitor. A little note, Urologists can be hard to get appointments with. I took the first appointment they had which was 2 months out. I called the scheduling line twice a week looking for cancellations and was able to get my appointment moved up 5 weeks, be your own advocate. She scheduled me for a CT Scan which came back clean, no spread. I had an outpatient surgery to remove the tumor at the end of October and had it analyzed. It came back as Papillary Urothelial Carcinoma HGT1. Early detection and diagnosis is very important. In December I had an outpatient restaging surgery which basically takes a little more tissue out, and in my case, the additional tissue came back clean, no residual or deep tissue cancer. On January 24, 2023 I started Immunotherapy treatments called BCG. It is very good at killing cancer cells and training your T Cells at fighting any new cancer cells that might show up. I just want to let you know if it is cancer, not all are High Grade, and treatments are very good. I will be praying for a good outcome for you.

          1. @feliciaM - I suggest seeing a urologist to confirm if there is anthing of concern going on or not. I will echo Eddie's words that should this turn out to be cancer, it is not always an aggressive form and could be low grade. The earlier cancer is discovered, the earlier treatments can start and that is good. I hope that you see a specialist so that you have some answers and know if there is something serious going on or not. My best to you. Linda Urbanski ( moderator, Bladdercancer.net team member)
