I am 92 years old and was diagnosed with bladder cancer in April. The Urologist told us that there were no good choices. Surgery would be risky because of my age and history of heart problems. Radiation couldn;t be performed because I had radiation treatment for prostate cancer years ago. So doing some research, I found information about Proton therapy. I checked into it and decided to go that route. We (my daughter and I) drove 250 miles to the treatment center. I had very good experience with the personel and the technicians. I completed 20 sessions and had a systoscope with my local urologist. He didn't find any cancer cells but couldn't give me a clean bill until they did more tests.
