Question about eating.

I had 8 Chemo treatments about 5 weeks foods started tasting bad. It got worse over time I felt like my mouth was covered with thick rotten cottage cheese. Yesterday I was latterly sobbing Because I c ould hardly choke down any food. I dont want to end up in the Hospital again because I cant eat. In the Hospital they gave me a little brown container with something tannish to swish around several times a day. Food on a renal diet is very bland but I was able to eat. Anyone else have this what was your solution. I have been upgraded to regular diet. but that does no good if everything taste horrible. Help,

  1. Hello mtuddles, I went through a period of time whereby my appetite completely disappeared after my chemo in 2014. I couldn't face meals let alone eating them, bread and potatoes were like eating cardboard. I could just about eat Spaghetti Bolognese or curry simply because there was a sauce to help it slide down. It did get to a point where I was close to passing out simply through lack of food. My wife ended up shouting at me because of my stubbornness over refusing food.
It did pass over a period of time and I did finally get my appetite back but it wasn't a good experience. I'm pretty sure chemotherapy does have this effect on the body. Thanks care.
