Reassurance / advice

Hi,

I’m hoping for some advice or guidance.
I’ve been having issues gradually for nearly a year, although the last few months have got progressively worse.
It was first flagged in September that there was blood in my urine but no infection markers, then the same in November, December, last week and last night = 5 of the exact same result.
I’ve had a CT scan which didn’t show any kidney stones and alongside the positive blood tests my bladder has become increasingly more painful, even sitting makes me feel like I constantly need to go to the toilet and there’s no burning when I do so I don’t think it’s a UTI

I’m starting to get concerned about what this could be and I have a little boy and a family who needs me!

  1. hi. Firstly I am not medically trained so can’t give any specific diagnostic advice. As you have had some testing and diagnostics which are not pointing to bladder cancer, it could be possibly an overactive bladder. However, you really need to speak to your medical team further to get a diagnosis for what is causing your symptoms. Let us know how you go. Laura, Moderator, BladderCancer.net

    1. @CazRobbins89 - I am not a medical professional but suggest having another opinion. Are you seeing a general practitioner or a urologist? Have you been given any type of diagnosis? I would think that after 5 months you should be told what this is or at least what is suspected and have that confirmed. Blood in the urine should always be investigated. I would find another urologist and find out what is going on. I understand your concern and you should have some answers. I wish I could provide more but your medical team - or a new one - should be investigating this further Keep us posted on how you are doing. My best.
