Steve Just starting journey.

Just received CT report showing two polypoid lesions. One containing two totaling 2 and 1/2 cm, and 1/8 cm. Very frustrated waiting for doctors to advise on prognosis and treatment. I hope I don't have to wait the two full weeks to see him at the cystoscopy. As it is kind of hard to not know what's going to happen. I guess anything from bald removal too radical cystectomy. Very anxious and depressed just waiting.

  1. @Steve Russo - Are you having a cysto to try to remove these or a TURBT? I hope that whichever it is, you are able to schedule it soon. I completely understand the anxiety that comes along with this. Please know that many of us have been through this and are here to help you through it also. I hope you have answers and treatments options soon. Please keep us updated on how things are going. My best. Linda Urbanski (moderator, Bladdercancer.net team member)

    1. hi. Thanks for updating us. The fear of the unknown is so difficult for us as humans to understand and process. We have a natural instinct for fear. Hoping you soon have more info after your next appointment. Laura, Moderator, BladderCancer.net

      1. Bladder Cancer seems to be the hurry up and wait Cancer .. After TURBT it can be 2 weeks to 3 months before you start BCG treatments . Mean while you are left alone with your thoughts of am I ok , am I going to live or die . How much time do I have left .So mentality draining and NO ONE around you can understand this ..Do you want to live with or without your Bladder is the biggest CHOICE of your life ..None of the treatments are horrible to go through , TURBT or BCG but Bladder Cancer just seems to never go away , it is a up and down roller coaster ride ... You have got to get tough and read everything you can about it . I was told I wouldn't see Christmas 2020 and still have my Bladder and now for the 3rd time almost 6 months NED... No evidence of disease... I am blessed to be on this side of the green grass !!!

        1. @CommunityMember717bad - thank you for posting your comments. I am not a medical professional but wonder if they delay in treatments of BCG could be availability or the value of giving your bladder some time to heal before the treatments after a TURBT. I also feel that you can read too much on the treatments and statistics of bladder cancer and that may not be a good thing. I understand your frustrations as we have all felt those at one time or another. I hope that things get better and the roller coaster ride evens out. My best to you. 2. it certainly is a difficult journey to navigate with lots of touch decisions. For those without other options like myself, removing my bladder saved my life. Glad you are doing well. Wishing you well. Laura, Moderator, BladderCancer.net

      2. There comes a point if you want to live you really don't have a choice but have your bladder removed and God Bless everyone that has went that route ... They just found a tumor on one of my Kidneys and did a contrast to get better pictures and found a stomach Aorta aneurism ready to bust .. So heading into surgery for that first .. RA hit me in my mid 50's but I still try and live a full life .. We are here for such a short time on this beautiful planet ... I've been blessed with a beautiful women in my life for almost 40 years now and I worry more about her than me ... Spring and summer are just around the corner and that's my goal to make it every year ..

        1. @CommunityMember717bad - I hope that you surgery for the aneurism goes smoothly. It is sometimes a blessing that we have testing and that other possible issues are found at that time. As concerning as this may be, it is very fortunate that the aneurism was found when it was. Please keep us updated on how you are doing. My best Linda Urbanski (moderator, Bladdercancer.net team member)

        2. sorry to hear you have surgery coming up. Wishing you well with that. Finding a person who is special to share our life with, truly is a gift.
