1st recurrence in 3 years

  1. I know how you feel, I when the first time for nine years and sort of went to the scope thinking that all was good and then I saw the growth. But that is why they do the scope.

As long as they have gotten to early all should be alright. Mine came back three times so far and I have the scope every two years now and hope for the best.

Are you getting BCG treatment or did you get them before?

Take care and all of the best.

    1. I did do 6 weeks of BGC 3 years ago. He's talking about gencidaben (spell check) I'll know more on the 5th of his plan. He discussed briefly to me on my pathology report and mentioned an RC but I'm not sure at what point. Friday can't come soon enough.

      1. Hi , wishing you the absolute best. Sounds like your doctor is pretty proactive in this thinking. I know Friday can't get here soon enough for you to know more details. Please keep us updated. But overall how are you doing? -Jada (Bladdercancer.net team member)

    2. Thank you. I'm doing ok. This May Sound weird, but I feel fortunate that it's bladder cancer and not another cancer. I've lost more friends and family from cancer this past three years. But it still blows my mind that I'm having to deal with this.

      1. Met with Dr today and the plan is for 6 weeks of Gemcitabine and Docetaxel And then another turbt / biopsy in July.
If all works out, then continue the chemo once a month for 1 year with continued surveillance.
I feel really good about this taking care of the C stuff in me.
        Has anyone experienced the

Gemcitabine and Docetaxel and did you do good. Seems like not to many side effects.

        1. I have not had chemo but it appears that your doctor has a very specific plan and also has looked ahead to tests and surveillance. My best to you in this journey and hoping that your treatment outcomes are in your favor. Linda ( moderator, author BladderCancer.net team member)
