Bloating after radical cystectomy

@RPRE - I am not a medical professional but has he passed gas since his surgery? That was a requirement for me to be given solid food - to ensure that my bowels were working correctly post op. What has the doctor told you about this bloatedness? Is it from the surgery procedure itself or the follow up healing process? I would ask the medical professionals about this so that he is given the proper treatment as this is very soon post op and you do not want to mix medications with out a doctor being in charge of the decision. Is he in pain or could it be swelling from the surgery? I wish I had better suggestions but this seems to be something the doctors should be able to help with. hi. That is still quite early post surgery. It is major surgery. I am not medically trained but I have been through this surgery. It takes time to recover. How are his bowel movements? Laura, Moderator, BladderCancer.net
