Cancer has returned

24thAugust 2021 I had an RC and have had 2 clear scans .February 2022 I found myself back with that dreaded pain that I remember so well . My GP sent me for an MRI and the scan came back clear .
My pain got no better intact it got more intense . After a good few months of getting my GP to help with the pain (none of which worked) I ended up at my GP surgery because I sent pictures of my swollen tummy and I had developed a tumour on the outside of my tummy.
Immediately she put me on a2w
Week cancer pathway.
I was gutted and all I did was cry .I then received an appointment to see my urologist. I was told the tumours were all in my pelvis from an X-ray my gp sent me for . The word cancer was back in our lives .my consultant advised me that the cancer was in too many places for surgery and he discussed radio therapy for pain relief. I felt physically sick .
Ct contrast was ordered ,Bone scan ordered. Mean while I’m left crying in all this pain .my husband and I are like walking zombies we haven’t had a full nights sleep for months.
My GP rang and said the scan results were back and radiology have marked it suspicious ( what ever that means)
Meanwhile my pain is not under control.my poor husband has sat for hours on the bed with me whilst I’m crying due to the pain.

He’s had to take all of this time off work because I can’t even put my own underwear on.
My consultant told us once the results are in they will discuss treatment at MDT.
Phone call from the hospital to invite us to a meeting with a consultant we have never met . We decided we can’t wait 10 days for the results so we have booked a private appointment to get our results.
The medication still isn’t leaving me pain free .
I’ve lost 21 pound in weight can’t eat as I have no appetite.
We are literally at our wits end exhausted and very emotional I need to get a grip and fast

  1. @Sueb2703 - I wish I could provide something more than hugs a prayers right now. I hope that you find some answers soon. I know that not eating is not good even when you have not appetite. Possibly find some things that you enjoy the taste of so you can have some nourishment while trying to figure out the best options. Are you able to get another options quicker? It seems that with something this concerning a sooner appointment would be possible. Wishing you relief from your pain and answers soon. My best to you. 1. I’m in the UK our healthcare system is really bad right now tomorrow we’ve paid for a private consultation at least we will know what we’re dealing with tomorrow

      2. @SueB2703 - I am sad to hear that your heathcare system is not the best right now but it is good that you have other options especially when dealing with such a challenging disease. Know that we are here for you and thinking of you during these difficult times. I hope that once you have some answers and options things will improve and your stress will decrease. The worst part is not knowing. Keep us posted. Sending hugs your way. My best to you. Linda Urbanski ( moderator, Bladdercancer.net team member.

    2. I am so sorry to read this. Please be easy on yourself! You are going through so much and NO ONE should feel a need or pressure to "get a grip fast". This is nasty territory and you and your husband are dealing with it beautifully. I am so so incredibly sorry you are in so much pain, that is so familiar and it breaks my heart. Although I am not a doctor, my greatest recommendation would be for added nutrition and especially a high-quality Vitamin D supplement. Also, have you heard of the Joe Tippens Protocol? I haven't written on it yet, but we used it to some encouraging results! Please stay strong and know that people you don't even know are rooting and praying for you. We are here for you! Sending prayers your way, Charles (Moderator / BladderCancer.net)
