Finding out the results of cystoscopy and biopsies
Anyone else have doctor's office call you to make an appointment 3 days later for doctor to call you to tell you whether or not cancer is found after cystoscopy? I know he has to get paid, but days of anxiety can be tough.
Is this a common practice?
Doctor is highly skilled and appreciated, but I wish this was different.
not sure where you are based but I think Globally still quite a backlog from pandemic in some areas. I know personally how long it can seem, even a few days of a wait. Hope you get the information you need once you speak to your doctor. Let us know how you go. Laura, Moderator, BladderCancer.net 
- I think that is very common these days to be honest. I recall that my results took about a week and that was in 2014. I think we would like to have the answers quickly but test results sometimes take a while. I hope that you have answers very soon, Keep us updated. As it turned out, appointment for consultation was made on Friday, and after an anxious weekend, the Monday meeting was a relief. No malignancy found. That means first surgery removed cancer, next 3 surgeries had only benign biopsies. Peace of mind for a while longer is the result for me. I hope good news it received by all.
