Had 3 immunotherapy treatments instead of 6

Tumor was removed in December but first biopsy was inconclusive as to whether it went into the muscle wall of the bladder. Second surgey took a deeper sample of muscle wall for biopsy and turned out negative, it had not gone into the muscle wall.
Underwent three immunotherapy treatments. What we read was there were usually 6. Has this changed recently and has anyone else run into this. I do like my urologist very much. Just curious.

  1. Hi that is good news that it did not go into the muscle wall. The treatment length for each therapy is driven by many different factors and is unique to each person and their cancer. I would encourage you to ask your urologist, if you haven't done so already, as it is important to share all concerns or questions. Jill, bladdercancer.net team
