I am terrified just waiting on a date for surgery. The urologist told me to expect to spend the night on the hospital. They are saying it is a large tumor and that scares me even more.

Yes, I am waiting on a date for TURBT. I have already been told that it is a large tumor, so that scares me even more.

I know how scary all of this is especially coming at you so quickly but please know many many others have also been in your shoes. Please take a look through the site and search TURBT, I hope it helps you feel a bit less nervous. - Jada (bladdercancer.net team member)

@DDot - These treatments and surgeries can be frightening for sure. The procedure is to remove the tumor and give results from testing. The stage and grade of the tumor should be provided and hopefully having more information will ease your mind a bit. It is much easier to fight a battle when you know what you are up against. It may not be nearly as bad as your have imagined but fear of the unknown is real. Thinking of you and praying that things will go well. Just remember - you got this!!
