Stoma and a kidney stone.
On my recent scans I was told everything looked good. However, the doctor mentioned that I have a small kidney stone.
Does anyone know if a kidney stone will pass through a stoma ?
hi. I am not medically trained and haven’t had a kidney stone since I had my stoma. However I have seen posts in other groups and pictures where stones had passed through the stoma. Most said without much pain. It would depend I assume on the size of the stone. I am sure your medical team would have discussed other steps with you if they felt it was a concern and it wouldn’t pass. Laura, Moderator, BladderCancer.net 
@jimbob - I have a friend who passed a kidney stone through her stoma. I have read of others who have also passed some but as I am not a medical professional I cannot provide more information other than this. I would ask your doctor about this just to be certain.
