Symptoms of Padcev
My father-in-law has had a long journey with bladder cancer. He had his kidney removed 6 years ago, went through chemo and radiation and had been cancer free for 5 years. In 2021 he suffered a mike heart attack, and afterwards he began to experience severe pain in his spine. After a scan, it was discovered the he had spinal tumors and also a tumor on his bladder and a small tumor in his lung. He had radiation on the spinal tumors which shrunk them and took away the pain. He began a brutal journey with Gemzar that gave him a terrible quality of life. From there he went to Keytruda
But the side effects were terrible. Now he’s on Padcev - he’s experiencing shaking and tremors as well as swelling. He’s on predinose as well. I’m curious if anyone can tell me about their journey with Padcev and any strange symptoms not listed on the rather long list. Thank you!
@Symptoms of Padcev - I am sorry to hear that your father in law is struggling with these treatments. I have heard of Gemzar but not Padcev. I had a friend who did well with Keytruda so clearly the side effects from the treatments vary greatly among patients. I hope that there will be someone on here who has tried that treatment who can provide some help. This is definitely a challenging cancer and the options can be difficult to deal with.
