Too young for this ?

I am 36, male diagnosed of CIS bladder yesterday, have appointments with urologist today, been married for 5 years and have a daughter who is 2 and a half year. Finding it very difficult to digest this news . Please help me to cope with this depression and stress

  1. hi. I was 40 at diagnosis and it comes as a shock doesn’t it? So often we hear about it effecting older people, I certainly did at the time. I am not medically trained and obviously don’t know all the specifics In your case but CIS is generally early stage and your urologist should be able to discuss with your a treatment plan. This is still very recent news for you. Give yourself time to digest it. Great you are seeing a urologist so quickly. If possible take someone with you to take notes. If this isn’t possible, take some notes yourself and don’t be scared to ask for something to be explained a second time. If you have time, write down any questions you have before your appointment. Let us know how your appointment goes. Laura, Moderator, BladderCancer.net

      2. met the urologist today, he was reassuring and advised BCG therapy after a cystoscopy +fulguration,
He said RC isn't indicated as of now
Meanwhile he has asked me to meet a psycho-oncologist on Wednesday
