There are many barriers such as cost and disability that come with seeking cancer care? What are some barriers or challenges you have faced in accessing care for your cancer?
hi. Living in the UK and having a state funded NHS, we are very lucky to on the whole have a good service. I went through my treatment which was surgery prior to covid but I know currently long delays and backlogs to healthcare treatments in general and that is impacting cancer patients too. Those who can afford it are paying for private diagnosis and initial investigations to reduce the time to wait. Of course for many sue to cost, this isn’t an option. Laura, Moderator.
