In the process of diagnosing

Hi, I came on here because I am so worried. For over a week now I have been bleeding fairly heavily. Only thing is, I don't have the parts for bleeding anymore. I saw my gastroenterologist and he confirmed it was not coming from the colon. I saw my gynecologist and she confirmed that it is not coming from there either. She saw some blood around my urethra and wondered if it was coming from there. When I say I am bleeding, I mean I have to wear a pad because it just comes out on its own. with clots. I do NOT have pain. I dont have to be peeing. I see the urologist tomorrow and I just can't shake this feeling of doom. I'm scared. I have sleep apnea and saw my pulmonologist today and told her what was going on, just because I think its important for my whole health team to know what is going on with me, even if it doesn't seem relevant. She asked me if I have had any shortness of breath or difficulty getting a breath. I told her that sometimes it feels like the air is so heavy and I cant get a good breath. She prescribed me an inhaler and let me know that when you lose too much blood it can cause difficulty with breathing. She wanted me to get in sooner, rather than wait the 3 weeks until my appointment so she called my urologist and were able to get me in tomorrow. I'm scared. Really scared. Has anyone else had that type of symptom? Where the blood came out even when not peeing?

  1. I ask this because everything I try to search only comes back with "blood while urinating" or "bloody urine" but goes on to indicate bleeding WHILE peeing. I have found nothing on bleeding even when not peeing.

    1. I am so glad you have reached out. I can understand why you would be concerned. I am very happy that you have an appointment with your urologist today to try to get answers. I agree that it is so important that your whole health team knows what is going on and that your pulmonologist was able to get you your appointment today. I also couldn't find anything about bleeding without urinating. Please keep us posted on your appointment. I really hope you can get the answers and relief that you deserve. Sending you lots of strength. Jill, bladdercancer.net team

  2. Thank you for responding Jill. I saw the urologist today and he did a scope of my bladder with normal findings. He did another urinalysis and it shows double the amount of rbc than were there a week ago. He is sending me for a ct scan of my kidneys. I just want to know what the problem is so I can stop stressing and just concentrate on addressing the problem.

    1. thanks for the update. When is the scan scheduled? I can totally understand what you are saying. I really hope you get to the root cause of this so that you can have answers and next steps! Jill, bladdercancer.net team
