Almost missed it

One day I had a scan to check on diverticulitis.

One condition leads to another

When the doctor read it, he said there was a mass on my bladder and I was told my diverticulitis had cleared up (I knew that). My hospital has a web site where you can read the diagnosis, so one day I went in on the site and read for myself about the mass. Make sure you check your records, don’t rely on the office workers to do it.

Making the doctors listen

At that point I pushed and only then did the doctors take notice. So I suppose the diverticulitis saved me.

Seeing a specialist

I was referred to a specialist in Provo Utah and he had been great. Two surgeries and BCG treatments have me cancer free so far. I had 0 symptoms. The Dr. checks me regularly and so far I’m ok. It’s been almost 2 years. Because it can come back , my doctor will keep checking. Hopefully it is gone.
