Has anyone taken the diabetes drug "Actos"?

I for one took this drug. Great for diabetes but it can/could lead to bladder cancer. Mentioned it to my urologist and he did not know about it. Have not seen it on any of the discussions. I took it 25 years ago. Took it for approximately 1 year. The VA did not cover it so we switched to a different drug. Fast forward 20 years later I get BC. No signs except for blood in my urine. That was May 2014, diagnosed Aug 2014, bladder removed Dec 2014. Chemo between Aug 14 to Dec 14. Going on 5 years N.E.D. My biggest concern is not staying hydrated enough.
