I am sorry to hear this.
I was diagnosed with Bladder cancer a more than 5 years ago. It had spread to my right kidney. So early 2023, my right kidney was removed. Subsequent PET scan showed my Cancer has meta sized and spread to other parts including a few lymph nodes. My bladder was never removed, although I went through multiple TRUPTs. I went through more than 2 years of chemo and some radiation therapy also.
I continue to go through immuno therapy. For the last year or so, my quarterly PETscan has been clean.
3 years ago I was given 1-2 years. But modern medical technology has come a long way. I read in WSJ how doctors are treating cancer as a chronic decease. When they cannot get rid of it, they find a way for patients to live a manageable life.
Stay positive. Believe in modern medical technology. It will get you there.
