dealing with rash from Padcev

My chemo ( Keytruda/Padcev ) has been postponed twice due to a rash covering 80% of my body. High dose steroids after first round gave some relief, but rash never went away completely, and came back after second round of chemo so I only did the 1st of the 21 day dose. Day 8 Padcev only was cancelled. On steroids again. Feel like crap. Anyone else experience this?

  1. Hi I wanted to follow up with you and see if your rash has gotten any better? I am sorry you are going through all of this. I wanted to share a story from one of our members who was on immunotherapy and developed a rash. Although I know it is not the same treatment, I wanted to share her rash relief tricks: https://bladdercancer.net/living/keytruda-experience-side-effects. I hope this is helpful. Jill (Team Member)

  2. The rash, although much better, is still there. I am tapering off steroids again and feeling better. I found that Zyrtec works better than Benadryl. My oncologist said that the Padcev caused the pins and needle feeling. Much worse than an itch. I think they will reduce the dose for my next round. Thanks for the post.

  3. I took prednisone steroids for many years and the side effects still plague me to this day, the after side effects! Fortunately I am on a lower dosage now. Skin care is definitely important though https://bladdercancer.net/living/protecting-skin-stoma Please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help and remember - you are not alone! Keep on keepin' on, DPM
