hi, I was wondering if someone could help me I’m going on three weeks postop. Everything was fine. The first two weeks now my bags keep leaking. I don’t know if there’s two bags or what we’re doing the same thing putting it on me. It seems they’re not snapping properly, but I’m not sure does anybody have any suggestions? Thank you.
I think the first step should be contacting your physician's office and letting them know you are having some issues or weren't given proper instructions on how to use your ostomy, but you can also check out this article which may help as well: https://bladdercancer.net/living/using-ostomy-barriers-paste I'm sure that some of our amazing community members will chime in and share their experiences with what it was like at first and I can pretty assuredly say you are not alone. It is brand new, and any time something is brand new there is a learning curve. Let us know if there's anything we can do in the meantime and keep us abreast of what your physician says!
