1st night away from home

I'm a little over 2 months out from surgery. We went on our first overnight stay away from home.
Went to Marion Virginia to see one of our favorite bands, Big Head Todd and the Monsters. Saw them at the Lincoln Theater. What a great venue for a really great band. We've seen them a bunch. This venue was the best, except for Red Rocks.
But, I was a little nervous. I haven't had many leaks, but still worry some. I packed plenty of extra supplies. Did not need any of them. What a great time. I wore my Stealthbelt Pro vertical. I found I can pee like most guys, at the urinal. What a benefit.
Next big milestone is camping. We have a great group we camp with. We'll be gone more than 3 days, my bag change interval. So, I'll be changing in the camper. A little tight quarters, but we love to camp, so I know I can make it happen. Things just keep improving.

  1. @stuyoung09 - What great news that you are venturing out and doing so well. Good for you and thank you for sharing this. As with most things in our life, the first step is the hardest. It is great to hear that you did not have any leaking issues at the concert and were able to enjoy it. I think you will find that will be the common outcome and things will go well. Also glad that the stealth belt is working well for you as I know others who use it also. I also agree that Red Rocks is the best venue for a great concert. I hope to see another one there again soon as that outside in the open beautiful area is such an amazing experience. I wish you well as you continue healing and getting used to your urostomy. I am sure you will do find and it will be something you get used to quickly. Keep us updated on your progress and where your next adventure takes you. 1. you posts are so inspiring. I set lots of milestones pre surgery. First time at the pub, first overnight, first weekend away etc. It feels amazing to get back to normal things we enjoy isn’t it? Glad it was a good venue for the band. Good luck and have fun on the camping trip. Let us know how you go. Have a ball!
