I’m an 83 year old male. First diagnosed with with noninvasive bladder cancer in August, 2023. After my third TURBT procedure, my urologist put me on an 18 month Mitomycin infusion treatment plan. I’ve completed two thirds so far. At least half have been unsuccessful. Shortly after the medicine is introduced by a catheter, my bladder goes into spasms that result in uncontrollable emptying everything.
My urologist has suggested I consider Inlexzo therapy. Before deciding, I have questions. Is there much discomfort when inserting Inlexzo and removing it 3 weeks later for the new treatment? My bladder becomes quite agitated when a catheter is introduced for a Mitomycin infusion therapy. also, does Inlexzo significantly limit routine physical activity like moderate cardio exercise for 30 minutes, or just driving a car? Finally, do patients commonly report other side effects that compromise quality of life? If I could get some feedback from patients with personal experience, it would be very beneficial and useful in my making an informed decision. Thank you?
